Workmanship Warranty
Rich Aluminum & Vinyl Siding Inc. services all workmanship for a period of five years from date of installation Workmanship is the labor and skill used to install the roofing, siding, window or doors to your home.
Our products have a separate manufacturers warranty that covers the actual product. Workmanship is not covered on products that have been damaged by abuse, misuse, unauthorized modification, accidental damage, settlement, structural shrinkage, distortion of structure, hail, lightning, fire, hurricane, tornado,windstorm, earthquake, harmful chemicals, fumes, vapors, normal weathering, mildew accumulation, impact of foreign objects or other causes beyond the control of Rich Aluminum & Vinyl Siding Inc.
If you experience difficulty with operation of your windows or doors. Please notify us immediately. If you continue to operate the products, without addressing the issue, this could result in permanent damage to the window or door. Please make sure to register your product warranties. This helps us service your product.
We encourage our customers to create a file of the contracts and work we have done for you. This will help us service your products in the future. Time passes quickly and products change. It is easier for both of us to have a point of reference.

The following are examples of some of the common situations that happen that would not be covered by our workmanship warranty:
- Siding melted by placing your grill too close to the house.
- Faseia or siding blowing off as a result of high winds.
- Siding damaged as a result of ice falling or an impact, (such as a ball bouncing off the house, or a tree branch hitting the house).
- Aluminum trim or siding damaged by snow removal, plowing or other exterior force.
- Roof leaks caused by ice dams. It is the homeowners responsibility to see to proper snow removal.
- Damage to your roof caused by using an ax or shovel to chop ice.
- Damage to a roof due to severe winds or hail.
- Damage to your roof caused by yressure washing.
- Damage to your roof caused by backup of water due to not cleaning your gutters. Gutters should be cleaned at least twice a year and after major storms.
- Damage caused to your windows from improper opening/closing. Please note: All windows must be open 2-4 inches to allow for proper clearance BEFORE tilting the window in for cleaning. If you tilt the window in without proper clearance, the pivot pins break. NEVER FORCE YOUR WINDOWS TO WORK! IF THEY WON’T OPEN PROPERLY THERE IS A REASON FOR IT!
- Frames of windows damaged from improper installation of air conditioners.
- When your windows are closed, they need to be locked. If you do not lock your windows properly, this can cause the sashes to warp and create dif6culty when operating.
- Replacement of glass due to product failure or glass breakage is warranted by the manufacturer. We will get the glass however, there is a charge for our labor.
- Torn screens.
- Doors not closing properly due to frost heaves of door sills.
- Thumb screws in storm doors that are forced. These are the screws you need to turn by hand to change your door glass or screen. Do not us pliers to turn them.
- Lock sets damage by abnormal force, kicking, prying, etc.
